Details:

This blade guide assembly fits a Walker Turner bn 725, a Walker Turner bn 730, or a craftsman 102. This assembly was taken from a bn 725 where the upper guide had broken in that way. This assembly was just removed from a fully functioning saw, and operated as expected.

It has steel guide blocks instead of the original oil bronze ones. When they did, the cast metal grunion or the cast metal blade guide tended to break. These saws were rebated by craftsman as unfortunately, the cast iron frame tended to be a little top heavy and many of these toppled over by accident.

The Walker Turner driver line 12 inch band saws, bn 725 and bn 730, were very well made and strong for a 12 inch saw. It is set up as a lower blade guide, but can be reconfigured to be an upper blade guide by pressing out the smaller, stepped shaft and pressing in the larger shaft which is included band saw. There is some surface discoloration, but nothing significant. This reconfiguration should only be done by someone comfortable with pressing steel into soft metal castings.
