I have tried many different blades over the years and I always go back to the Olson blades because I just can't find any other manufacture that compares for quality and price. I use these on cherry, oak, maple, mahogany up to 1/2 thick wood I have cut with these but it is not recommended thick, they have 12. The blades will come in a plastic bag with a label that states the size and the part number of the blade. I have used Olson scroll saw blades for more than 30 years and as far as I am concerned you can not buy a better scroll saw blade the picture of the blade is just to show the reverse teeth and is not an actual blade.

5 teeth per inch on the down stroke and 9 tip on the upstroke and they are painless there are no pins in these blades wide x. I personally like the reverse tooth blades because when they are on the upstroke they are cleaning up the bottom of the cut which saves me a lot of time when I am finishing the project that I am working on.
